How the review works, and how we test it

Every finding in a review is tied to a page in your records, and the rules behind it were written and are tested by a VA-accredited attorney. ServiceRecord uses the same analyzer as ClaimScope for Veterans, its sister site run by ClaimScope LLC.

What it reads

Your VA decision letter, or your whole claims file (C-file) if you upload it, including scanned pages. It counts pages first so an oversized record stops before any report is made, and it reports any file it could not read.

What it checks

How a finding is built

A finding appears only when the record supports it. Each one names the page it comes from, says how strong it looks in plain language, gives the review route and deadline that fit it, and lists the evidence that would help. Where the record supports a dollar figure, the estimate uses VA's published pay rates for your family situation. When the record is silent, the review says so instead of guessing.

How we test it

An attorney wrote the rules and tests them on VA files where VA's final decision is already known, then compares what the analyzer flagged with what VA later decided. Fixes go into the rules, never into an individual Veteran's report. No person reads your records to produce your review.

Result so far: on one real C-file where we knew how VA later ruled, the analyzer flagged 4 of the 5 issues VA later granted, including all 4 decisions VA later reversed. That is one file, not a statistic, and it does not predict your result. We will add files here as more cases with known outcomes resolve.

What it does not do

Your records

Records are encrypted, used only to produce your review, never sold or used for advertising, and deleted when you delete the review. See Privacy and security and who handles your data.
